Snow fun

Katie and Bryn at the Hill by the Evans- they got a little backwards but it was a beautiful day.

Just before the take off Bryn would giggle the whole way down.

Successful day of sledding, still smiles on our faces.

Future explorer in our make-shift airplane.

Mazatlan Mexico

Mom and Dad Prescott invited us to Pueblo Bonito in Mexico, we thought it would be an adventure so off we went, we ended up going with them and Andy and Janet. Good thing Kt is a good sport- the flights we found allowed us the privelege of staying over night in Ohare both going and returning, you haven't lived until you've tried sleeping 5 hours stretched out across some airport chairs. This was our group I think Judy had forgotten her night glasses.

This next one was on our trolley ride, the deal was that if we listened to a "low pressure" sales pitch to buy a time share at Emerald Bay we would get $200 in vouchers free breakfast and a free trolley ride, we considered it time well spent- although when they tell you only 1.5 hours they are lying through their teeth.

The pools at the condos they were very enjoyable as they look over the Pacific, there are several pools to go and enjoy, with heated pools and lounge chair service, guess thats what you get with 10 to 1 exchange rates.

Playing a little water volleyball, 85 and sunny was the extended forecast.

Touristing is hard work, time for a real Mexican meal.

After some begging (and the promise of a big tip) The family had a show of Flaming Banana, Seemed like a hard way to make Carmel for your Banana split but the show was good. Yes the flame is coming from the liquid, you can make the connection about the source.

There were some more pics but time is running short and temps are sitting below zero and the wind is howling here in IA, ah it's good to be back!

Fall 2010

This fall I was able to go down to Moline for some "New Engineer Orientation" at John Deere HQ, Kt and Bryn came down Thursday night and we went home together on friday, We stopped at the Steak and shake and got a milkshake, I had to fight Bryn for the straw, she was pretty intent on getting her share of the shake, we have fun though.

We wanted to spruce up Bryn's room a little, thought we'd try something different from the other one, we went with the stripes and polkadots instead of the stars and solids in the other house. Not sure about the green though- any thoughts- light purple instead??
Thinking of genetics we still believe that Bryn may still have some Idaho potato in her, she was pretty determined to help me scrub the potatos, she didn't seem to mind that she was in her church dress.

Any one ever seen a combine on a shaker table? Pretty cool watching a huge vehicle bouncing around.
This is the latest and greatest header for the combine- I forget how wide it is but they seem to have issues trying to support it- huh go figure.
